Education in Traditional Culture and Etiquette/Manners

Courses are offered on Japanese tea ceremony, Japanese flower arrangement, traditional Japanese poetry, etiquette, traditional Japanese music, calligraphy, kimono wearing (*), and traditional Japanese0. dance (*) under the instruction and supervision of world-leading instructors in each area. Students will learn about Japanese culture, which was nurtured over a long history, and will develop into true international citizens who can communicate with the world. Also, students will receive thorough instruction in the basics of Koka etiquette and manners “greetings,” “appearance,” “use of language,” “punctuality,” and “etiquette.”

“Primula Course”
~A Special University Preparatory Course Offered in Conjunction with Kansai University

·Aims to have students admitted to prestigious national, public and private universities before graduating from senior high school
·This thirty-seven credit, five-subject course has an increased number of instruction hours and develops the students’ abilities in self-directed learning, applying what they learned, and probing deeper into the issues.

~Integrated University Preparatory Course

·This course is aimed at assisting students in entering Kyoto Koka Women’s University, Kyoto Koka Women’s College, Kyoto Sangyo University, Kinki University, Konan University, Ryukoku University as well as other four-year universities and junior colleges.
·We aim to create motivation and academic development through four programs (total education career, child education, nursing nutrition, art and design) in cooperation with high schools and the university.

“Super Primula Course”
~Special University Preparatory Course

This six-year program during the junior high school and senior high school years aims to have students admitted to prestigious national, public and private universities before graduation from senior high school. The goal of this program is to have students gain a solid foundation in basic academics during their three years in junior high school.

·Give students a solid foundation in fundamental and basic academic abilities so that they can advance to the Senior High School Primula Couse offered in conjunction with Kansai University, or the Lilac Course, and aims for students to enter the university of their choice.
